FAQs
We are glad you are interested in learning more about Trinity!  Here are some FAQs!

When are worship services?

During the school year (September-May), we offer both Contemporary and Traditional services.

  • 9:00 a.m. (Contemporary) – Located in Calvin Hall(the gym upstairs), this services is a contemporary service with an informal style featuring our praise band with words to the songs and liturgy projected on a large screen.
  • 11:15 a.m. (Traditional)Located in the sanctuary, this service is a traditional service with a hymnal and features our pipe organ along with our choir and handbell.

Three times a year we put these two styles together in a joint worship service at 10:00 a.m. followed by a church-wide lunch, be sure to check our calendar or main page for joint worship dates.

During the summer (June-August), we meet for one worship service at 10:00 a.m.

When is Sunday school?

During the school year (September-May), the Education Hour for children and adults is held at 10:10 a.m., between services.

  • 4-years through 3rd grade – children age 4 through 3rd grade are invited to attend Sunday School in the preschool hallway, which is downstairs from Calvin Hall.
  •  4th grade through high school – children 4th grade through high school are in the main church building, which can be recognized by the carpeted floors.
  • Adult Education is held in the upstairs classrooms, also in the main church building.
  • Don’t feel like going to a class? Join the adults for Just Coffee in the Knox Room (a large room with carpet and big windows) which is near the nursery by the ramp in the preschool hallway. There is also coffee available in the Narthex (the large space by the sanctuary in the main church building).
  • During the summer months (June-August), we do not have an education hour but encourage fellowship after the service with an extended coffee hour we call Lemonade on the Lawn (but it is actually in the Narthex because it is too hot outside).

Is childcare available?

We are happy to watch and nurture your littlest family members while you worship or attend a class. The Nursery is located in Room 1 in the education wing and is designed for children who are not yet walking.

  • If your child is walking, please look across the hall at room 4 for our special toddler room, featuring a modified Godly Play.
  • Preschoolers are encouraged to attend worship through the Children’s Message and then can be checked into Godly Play at the back of the service. Our preschoolers can be picked up from Godly Play in Room 11, which is in the education wing at the end of the hall.

What should I wear?

Please feel free to wear whatever you like. We regularly see the range from shorts to jeans to suits–but if it helps, most adults wear what could be called “dressy casual.”

The adults in the traditional service at 11:15 a.m. tend to be a little dressier with the men wearing a few more suits than you typically see in the 9:00 a.m. service. Since the point isn’t what you’re wearing, but who you’re worshiping, there’s no dress code.
