As people of Trinity Presbyterian Church, we are called to Faith through CONNECTING to others around us in meaningful ways, GROWING in our faith through opportunities to learn, and experiencing God’s presence through SERVING others in our daily lives. 

 

Excellent question. We have a formal Vision and Mission Statement, (please click here to view it) but what does that Mission Statement look like in life?

 

At Trinity we:

in contemporary or traditional styles or online. During the pandemic, we have worshiped outside, inside, in the parking lot, on the lawn, in the outdoor chapel, and at home. Kind of like Visa, our worship is “everywhere you want to be.”

 

through small groups, service projects, mission trips, youth and young adult programs, the band or choir, and fellowship events. You know, church stuff.  But what does this mean at Trinity? We have coffee house concerts (live music, raffles for baskets of board games or tickets to the Nats,  lots of dessert), hikes, trivia or board game nights, all church picnics, retreats, chili cook-offs, visits to local establishments, art shows, fire pit gatherings, book and video guided discussions, and more.

 

with relevant and challenging classes. We don’t have all the answers and we thrive on questions. Dive into a Bible study or join a class about racial justice, religious art, or elderly care (to name a few).  One of our more popular recent classes was the Gospel According to Bruce Springsteen and one of our longest-running classes (due to student interest) was the study of the letters of Paul’s letters. Each semester is different and up to our congregation to lead and attend a class that interests them.  For our youngest community members and youth, we also have weekly Sunday school classes and Vacation Bible School.

 

our local and international community and discover your talents in a variety of ways: make breakfast for the homeless; paint and repair local homes; bring food to the elderly; raise the voices of the disenfranchised in Arlington;  go on a national or international mission trip; walk to end hunger; feed immigrants a warm dinner; and more.
