Description
Come and work with our friendly, inclusive Church Community! Trinity Presbyterian Church, a progressive church of 450+ members in Arlington, VA, is looking for a full time Operations Manager (40 hours per week with fringe benefits) to coordinate and manage the day-to-day operations of the church. You will report to the Pastor/Head of Staff and work closely with the other staff personnel and supervise Facility Manager, Bookkeeper, and A/V support. Performance of the position will primarily be in the Trinity Presbyterian Church Office.
- Oversee Church office operations (visitors, phone calls, member & staff assistance during office hours M-F
- Church administrative operations – facilities, financial, building use, review/approval of contracts – invoices and payments
- Submission of biweekly payroll for all staff – supervision of bookkeeper and coordination with Treasurer for financial processes and reporting
- Coordinate the timely issuance of weekly email communications from the Church to members and development/printing of bulletins for each service as needed including maintaining master calendar for services, programs and building use
- Support the Church ministries leads, Session and staff as necessary for efficient operations
- Oversee IT administrative needs including maintenance of Church data bases (financial and admin) – software licenses and Web site operation
The ideal candidate should have:

- 5+ years of work experience in office administration
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Prior experience in HR hiring a plus
- Knowledge and expertise in using IT software (Google Suite, MS Office 365, dropbox)
- Ability to analyze and problem-solve data
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with personnel both internally and externally
- Strong verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to write clearly and effectively
- Ability to work independently as well as with others in a wide variety of circumstances and with a diverse group of individuals
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience in non profit a plus
